So, what exactly are our Pistol Shoots?
Short answer, they can be anything, as long as we're shooting at something with a pistol....
To be a bit more precise, they are typically either bowling pin shoots, or steel silhoutte shoots, depending upond the current windspeed, but there's the occasional random surpise as well. Rumor has it there may be some poker shoots coming up. Generally, unless specifically specified, these are centerfire pistol shoots, although if you show up with a .22, nobody's going to forbid you to shoot. These are more of casual,laid-back-cum-plinking atmosphere that some of our other more structured shoots.
So, exactly what do I need to give it a try?
A pistol. Ammunition. Eye and ear protection. Patience when Bill events rules on the spot. Thick skin. A handful of good-natured zinger insults.
Sounds fun, when can I try, and what does it cost?
Pistol shoots are currently held on the 2nd Sunday of each month, starting at 3:00 p.m. With hotter weather, look for the starting time to change towards later in the evening. Check the Range Schedule for current times. Currently, they cost $1 for members, $2 for non-members.
